Actress Amala Paul was widely applauded for her bold and impressive performance in director Rathna Kumar's survival drama, Aadai. The actress is currently busy with the works of her next release Adho Andha Paravai Pola, which is expected to hit the screens soon.
She had recently announced about her another interesting big project in which she will be collaborating with veteran filmmaker and producer Mahesh Bhatt for a web series that is set in 70s Bollywood era. The show is produced by Jio Studios.
The actress had recently graced at the 7th edition of Behindwoods Gold Medal that was held on December 8th. She was awarded with Behindwoods Gold Medal for Best Actor - Critics’ Choice for Aadai.
Speaking about winning this award from Jyothika, she mentioned that Jo was one of her inspirations. She remarked that winning this feels like her first award, because though she had won many, along this acting career, she lost herself somewhere in search of stardom. She noted that now she had worked so hard to get back on track.
Also, she thanked all the heros in her life, and said they faced many obstacles in releasing the film. She also shared that it was her father's advice that kept her going, and marked her gratitude to all the crew members of the Aadai movie. Watch the full video here!
