"He speaks very good English, he just ..." Trump's remark makes PM Modi laugh
Home > News Shots > World newsPM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump held talks during G-7 summit in France on Monday. The world leaders were comfortable with eachother interacting in a friendly way.
While questioning about the talk between them, Modi said, "I think you should let us have the discussions first, then we will let you know whatever is needed" in Hindi.
To which Trump cut the talk to add "He actually speaks very good English...he just doesn't want to talk," gently pulling his leg. They then held hands and chuckled as others in the room joined.
The duo also spoke about Kashmir where Trump said Modi feels that he has it under control. He said, "I am good friends with both Prime Ministers, I am here but I think the two can manage it themselves."
