Man Dumps Mother's Dead Body in Garbage Bin!

In a shocking incident, a man from Thoothukudi had dumped the dead body of his mother in a garbage bin because he did not have money to perform last rites.

Reportedly, the woman, identified as N Vasanthi (58) of Muthammal Colony had died late on Sunday due to illness. Her son Muthu Lakshmanan who is a temple priest dumped her body in a garbage bin in the wee hours of Monday before leaving to a temple function in Thirunelveli. His father Narayanasamy (60) is also sick.

Later, the municipality workers who came to pick up the garbage found the body and alerted the police. The police sent the body to Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.

During inquiry, Lakshmanan said he abandoned the body as he did not have money to perform the funeral. The police said the family’s relatives had accepted to receive the body.
