A 19-year-old pregnant woman was brutally raped by a three-member gang in Udaipur after thrashing her boyfriend to unconsciousness.
The accused were identified as Sunil Charpota, Vikas and Jitendra Charpota. Reportedly, on July 13, her boyfriend was giving her a ride back home on his motorbike when the accused attacked him with iron rods and swords. When he fell down unconscious, they dragged the woman to a desolate bus stand and raped her. Later, they took her to a different place, called two other friends Naresh Gurjar and Vijay to join them and raped her again. She was then abandoned on a random street.
The woman was so brutally raped that the baby inside got aborted.
When the boyfriend regained conscious, he committed suicide.
The Police said the woman did not report the crime. However, the incident came to light when one of the accused was nabbed in connection with her boyfriend’s death. The boyfriend’s mobile was recovered and apparently the woman had called and messaged him several times. Tracking the details of calls and messages, the police reached the victim after which she narrated the ordeal.
