1 Death, 121 New Positive Cases from 5 Districts in Tamil Nadu Today; Additional COVID-19 Details Listed
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Tuesday, 28 April, reported 121 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 2058. Of the 121 new cases, 103 were from Chennai alone.
The new cases are from five districts including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kallakuruchi, Kancheepuram and Namakkal.
The state’s death toll rose to 25 after it reported one death on the date.
The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of 26 April:

Total number of passengers under home quarantine – 30,692
Total number of passengers in government quarantine facilities – 47
Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 41 (30 government and 11 private)
Total number of samples tested till date – 1,01,874
Total number of samples tested today – 7093
Total number of persons tested till date – 93,189
Total number of persons tested today – 6850
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 1856
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 1128
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 27
Total number of active cases on date - 902
