WATCH! Pentagon Officially Releases 3 UFO Videos, Clips Taken By Navy Pilots
Home > News Shots > World newsThe Pentagon has officially released three videos showing "unidentified aerial phenomena" which has created a stir online. The videos capture the rapid movements of an unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that had previously been released by a private company.
In the video, few service members can be heard reacting at how quickly the objects are moving. Last year, the Navy acknowledged the veracity of the videos, while they officially released them now.
As per a Pentagon spokesperson Sue Gough, he said "In order to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real, or whether or not there is more to the videos."
"After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena," Gough added.
In a recently released statement on April 27, the Department of Defense claimed that the videos were taken by Navy pilots in 2004 and 2005. Since then, the videos had been circulating on the Internet after they got leaked in 2007 and 2017.
"The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as 'unidentified'," the Pentagon said in its statement relating to the videos. Meanwhile, CNN reports that the footage were recorded by infrared cameras.
Soon after the video was released, it created a huge buzz on the Internet where people started sharing their reactions online. Even a hashtag #UFOs has been trending on Twitter, where it has been used in nearly 20,000 posts. Many even confirmed of alien life visiting the earth soon while others claimed it to be another addition to the 2020 year.
