Team India batsman Rohit Sharma adds a new feather to his cap. He recently notched up the highest ever individual One-Day International (ODI) score of 264 runs on this day, in 2014.  

Rohit Sharma Breaks Virender Sehwag's 8-Year-Old Record, Creates History! 

Rohit, who is known to break records recently made 264-run knock in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka; with this he broke the previous record of 219 runs held by Virender Sehwag.

By owning this record, Rohit Sharma becomes the only batsman to register three ODI double centuries. Earlier to this record, Rohit had scored 209 runs against Australia in Bengaluru in 2013 and made 208 runs against Sri Lanka in 2017. 

Honouring him for his brilliant performance, the International Cricket Council (ICC) took to social media and said, "#OnThisDay in 2014, Rohit Sharma went big! The Indian opener smashed 264, the highest ever ODI score. The worst part? Sri Lanka dropped him when he was on 4."

Rohit Sharma, is currently gearing up for the two-Test series against Bangladesh which begins from November 14 in Indore.
