During the ongoing final Tri-Nation Women's T20 Series between Australia and India at Melbourne, the match took to headlines after a stump-mic, which is known to record conversations on-field saved a cricketer from a run-out.

It sounds bizarre, but Yes, it did happen. For the very first time a cricketer was saved from a run-out. The moment took place when, Australia captain Meg Lanning reprieve as the stump-mic came to her rescue. 

During the match in the 14th over, Lanning, who went for a quick single was surprised to see that the ball went to Shikha Pandey at mid-off who hit the stump-mic cable and bounced it off. 

Surprisingly, the ball hit the stumps but the throw hit the stump-mic wire and missed the wicket. Amid all this, Australia captain Lanningn was quick to act and took an extra run. 

The video was shared by Cricket Australia, who took to social media and posted the unsual incident on the field. Talking about the match, Australia women's team defeated India in the tri-series final.
