Pulwama Terror Attack Mastermind killed in encounter
Home > India newsIn an encounter that took place in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, nine people, including three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists and an army major were killed.
The gunfight took place about 12 km away from the spot where the February 14 CRPF bombing took place. Reportedly, the security forces got to know of the presence of militants in the area and launched a search operation. While the search was on way, the militants began to shoot at the jawans, initiating a gun battle.
Of the three slain terrorists, one was identified as Kamran, a Pakistani-based top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hilal Ahmad, a local recruited by the terror group. Kamran had been hunted for years but managed to stay under the radar. According to a few cops, Kamran had plotted the suicide bombing attack in Pulwama that claimed the lives of 40 jawans.
The four slain soldiers were identified as Major VS Dhondial, Havildar Sheo Ram and Sepoys Hari Singh and Ajay Kumar.
