1st-year student ragged by seniors, beaten for 3 hrs
Home > India news A first-year management student in Kerala’s Idukki district has been hospitalized after being beaten up by his seniors for close to three hours.
The victim, identified as Athul Mohan (23) said that he was forced to hold a rod and a mobile in each hand while they beat him. He was ordered not to drop the things, failing which he was thrashed again.
To escape the ragging, the victim lied to his seniors that he suffered from fits but however, they could sense his bluff. Post the incident, the boy was rushed to a hospital, where doctors said that he has sustained severe injuries on his legs.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against five students for allegedly thrashing Mohan.
