Home > News Shots > India newsIT major company Cognizant has a good news for freshers- the company plans to continue investments in developing digital and plans to hire about 20,000 candidates this year, to adjust the employee cost structure.
This decision comes after CTS's revenue rose by 3.5% in March, 2020. Also, the net income was $367 million, 17% down from $441 million in the year ago quarter. As per Times of India report, Cognizant indicated that it expects the upcoming quarter to be slow because of the coronavirus impact.
Despite that, CTS plans to deal with the uncertainties that is ahead. Meanwhile, CEO Brian Humphries said that "we had the best quarter in healthcare in a year, with booking growing more than 100 percent year-on-year. We are doing a lot of work with phama clients around the around the world, helping them come up with vaccine and accelerate solution to COVID-19."
To which the company said that it would continue to invest in improving the candidates digital skills. "We will continue to build out our commercial team and bring in approximately 20,000 entry level hires."
