In the recent Nadigar Sangam's general body meeting, actor Vishal stressed the importance of every actor n technician in the industry should voice out against the Entertainment tax. Vishal said that Tamil Nadu is the only state to pay an additional entertainment tax and such tax will kill Tamil cinema.
Vishal said that the actors across the industry should come forward to sort this issue and requested everyone to voice out against the tax. In his speech, he said Tamil cinema is struggling to survive in between the hurdles of GST, piracy and now Entertainment tax. He finally concluded by saying that only if the government cancels this additional tax, Tamil cinema will be saved.
Vishal who is fresh from the release of his crime thriller Thupparivaalan will have two more big releases in the next three months.
His debut Malayalam film Villain with Mohanlal would be releasing on October 18th, 2017 for Diwali. This movie would give a tough fight for Vijay Mersal in Kerala.
On the latest official announcement is about his next Tamil movie Irumbu Thirai which would be hitting the screens for Pongal 2018 on January 12th. It must be noted that Suriya's Thaana Serndhaa Koottam is also scheduled for a Pongal release.
