TOLLYWOOD DRUG CONTROVERSY: ''THEY HAVE DESTROYED MY LIFE''

Renowned Tollywood director Puri Jagannadh was questioned for nearly 12 hours by Prohibition and Excise department on Wednesday in connection with the drug abuse case.

Here is Puri Jagannadh's official video statement, "I am ready to go whenever SIT calls me again. Basically, I am a very responsible person. Not only drugs, I was never into anything which is illegal. But what is disheartening to me is that media channels are running special programs to sensationalize this issue without knowing the real truth.

I have a great affinity towards police and journalists. I made many films based on good cops and my film ISM is on a journalist's life. I have always maintained a good relationship with the journalist group but they have shown their real colour when they got an opportunity to up their TRP. I am very frustrated with the media. In fact, they have destroyed my life. My mother, wife, children, and brothers are still in shock. Not only us, but many other families are suffering."
