Anirudh took part in a cultural event of a reputed educational institute in Chennai, today (6th January). The ‘Rockstar’ had revealed a few interesting unknown facts about him during an interactive session with the students.

Here we bring you an interesting back story on how Anirudh composed 'oodhungada sangu' track from VIP. “One day, I met my ex-girlfriend with another guy at a bar. I went home straight and composed oodhungada sangu”, said Anirudh.

Similarly, he revealed that he composed ‘Enakenna Yaarum’ song when his crush was moving abroad. The song remains to be his favorite song that he has composed thus far.

During an interactive session with college students today (5th January) at a well-known reputed educational institution in Chennai, Gautham Menon had revealed some exciting information about his forthcoming projects.

One of the topics was about Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal. During the discussion Gautham Menon had revealed that he is working on a sequel to the film. He said Yennai Arindhaal 2 will happen but he added that he is yet to carry forward this with Ajith.

A few hours ago, we had informed you that G.V.Prakash's Bruce Lee is postponed to February, thereby backing out from the Pongal race.

But, there is another G.V. film which has joined Bairavaa now. It is Adangathey. It will not be the film, but the teaser of which will be screened along with the Vijay starrer. Adangathey stars G.V.Prakash Kumar, Sarathkumar, Surabhi and Mandira Bedi, and is directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy.

So, get ready to witness the teaser of Adangathey along with Bairavaa from the 12th of January.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Bairavaa is all set to hit the screens on the 12th of January, ahead of the Pongal festival. This Bharathan directorial has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

The songs of the film, which was released recently opened up to a positive response from the audience, especially the Varlaam Varlaam Vaa Bairavaa number. The musical album consisted of five songs, out of which four were penned by Vairamuthu and one by Arunraja Kamaraj. But now lyricist Vivek has officially announced that there will be another additional bonus song in the film for which he has written the lyrics. He tweeted, “Happy 2 b part of 1 n only @actorvijay sirs #Bairavaa. Pend 4 a superb #SaNa melody #AdditionalSong #SanthoshVivek”

It should be noted that Vijay's previous film Theri too had an additional song called 'Hey Aasman'. Looks like the Theri trend is followed up in Bairavaa too.

We had reported yesterday that Lakshmi Menon would be pairing up with Vijay Sethupathi for a new film, to be directed by R.Panneerselvam of ‘Renigunta’ fame.

According to our sources, the film is most likely to be titled as ‘Karuppan’, which will go on floors from this week. Touted to be an action entertainer, this film has music by D. Imman and cinematography by Ramji. Bobby Simha is rumored to play the villain in this flick, which is funded by A.M.Rathnam’s Shri Sai Raam Creations.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Bairavaa, directed by Bharathan, and is gearing up for its release on the 12th of January for Pongal. The movie was censored yesterday (04th of Jan) and was given a U certificate.

Sources close to the film's unit say that the film has a runtime of 2 hours 44 minutes and 20 seconds. Touted to be an action-packed family entertainer, the film has already garnered a good amount of expectations from the audience already, thanks to Vijay’s huge fan following.

Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thotta featuring Dhanush and Megha Akash in lead roles is one of the most anticipated films of this year.

Reports were doing the rounds about the film’s Tamil Nadu theatrical rights being sold to K Productions, and we caught up with Rajarajan, owner of K Productions, to know if its true. He confirmed this by saying, “Yes, we have acquired the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights for Enai Noki Paayum Thotta for a record price. The film might most probably release by May end or early June.”

The film was earlier expected to release in February 2017, but now it looks like it might be pushed by three to four months.

We were among the first to report that Gautham Vasudev Menon would be reviving his pet project Dhruva Natchathiram soon. Now, the official announcement from the team is out. They have just shared a photo that looks similar to the earlier official poster of Dhruva Natchathiram.

So, it is now official that GVM’s Dhruva Natchathiram will be revived. But it is not officially known if it is going to be with Vikram or Suriya in the lead role as the director is in talks to do a film with both the heroes. We believe Vikram would be the lead but let's wait for a confirmation from the team.

This film will be a stylish action spy thriller, produced by Escape Artists P.Madan, along with GVM’s Ondraga Entertainments.

Dulquer Salmaan’s last Tamil film was Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani after which we are yet to see him in Tamil screens. But now, looks like his fans in Tamil Nadu will heave a big sigh of relief as he will be seen in director Ra Karthik’s debut film.

Sources reveal that the genre of the film will be a romantic commercial entertainer and a travelogue kind of a story, something on the lines of Hindi Highway or Jab We Met. Apparently Dulquer had mentioned that after OK Kanmani, he was waiting for a good script in Tamil and that he was happy to get this one. Dulquer is slated to have three heroines in the film and right now, the script has reportedly been narrated to Megha Akash and Nivetha Pethuraj and waiting for a nod from them. George C Williams is touted to be the cinematographer while well-known names for editing and music composing are touted to join the team. The second half of the film is claimed to happen in North India.

Right now the film is untitled and is said to be in a pre-production phase and once Dulquer’s dates get finalized, it is likely to begin. Official announcements are expected in a couple of week’s time

Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, the recent thriller flick in town is getting some rave reviews from critics and film buffs alike. The film stars ‘Sangamam’ Rahman in the lead and it is directed by a promising debutant Karthick Naren.

The film has also impressed one of the best directors of Kollywood, Shankar. The ‘Enthiran’ director who happened to watch D-16 recently had some nice things to say about the film through his Twitter space.
