Eros Now South has officially announced their next venture with lady superstar, Nayanthara in the lead. The film is to be directed by Bharath Krishnamachari, who was an assistant to director Mysskin. The official announcement has just made headway on Twitter but we had broken this news early in November.
We had also told that the film is titled as ‘Ner Vazhi’ and that it will be another female-centric movie for Nayanthara but the title has not been confirmed by the team yet. Nayanthara is also touted to play a France-based journalist. The film is said to go on floors in March 2017. There has been no official announcement on the rest of the cast and the crew yet.
Arvind Swami seems to be on a roll. Post the success of Thani Oruvan; the handsome ‘Roja’ actor is on a signing spree. He has Sathuranga Vettai 2, Bogan and a couple more untitled projects in his kitty at the moment.
As informed by us earlier Arvind Swami will be teaming up with director Selvaa for a cop film. Selvaa as we all know made his debut through Thalaivasal in 1992. He has directed many films like Naan Avan Illai and Sishya. This would be his second film with Arvind Swami after Pudhayal. It must be noted that Selvaa directed Ajith's first film as a hero Amaravathi.
Now it is said that actress Ritika Singh will be playing Arvind Swami’s lady love in the movie. When we checked about this with director Selva, he was quick enough to confirm the news with a firm yes.
Sundar C’s historical film Sangamithra bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films is likely to be one of the most expensive films made in India. The team has officially announced the title and leads acting in the film today.

Kaththi Sandai director Suraaj had made a comment on heroines in a recent interview. The director had made a statement on why actresses should wear skimpy clothes in films. Actors like Nayanthara and Tamannaah are irked by Suraaj’s statement and have asked him to apologize.
When we got in touch with director Suraaj, this is what he had to say, “My statement was not meant to hurt anyone. It was a fun comment which I believed would be accepted in good taste. I express my apology if my statement had offended anyone. I feel very sad and I am sorry.”
In a recent interview, director Suraaj had spoken about why he wants heroines to act in glamour roles in all his films. His response has not gone well with some of the popular actors like Nayanthara and Tamannaah.
Tamannaah has now responded to Suraaj’s comment through her Twitter handle which reads as follows:
"This is 2016 and its very ironic that I had to leave a film like Dangal in the middle which is on woman empowerment to tackle this issue. I am very hurt and angered by the comments made by my director Suraaj and I would definitely want him to apologise not only to me but to the entire women in the industry. We are actors and are here to act and entertain the audiences and should not at any point be objectified as commodities. I have been working in the South industry for over 11 years and have worn costumes, which I have been comfortable with. It is sad that women in our country are spoken about so frivolously and I would like to tell my audiences that our industry should not be generalised due to comments made by one such individual."
Actress Neetu Chandra who engaged in a Twitter chat with her fans recently said that if Dangal was remade in Tamil, she would like Ajith to act in Aamir Khan’s role.
She also added that “He (Ajith) is a #sportsman . #sportsmen can do anything 😊 Don't challenge him #ajith”.
Ajith as we know he is a tough guy and likes challenges. If asked to act, no wonder he will give his level best to recreate the magic once again.
Like most medias have been carrying, Thalapathy 61 looks to be a 3 heroine script and we are told that Kajal Aggarwal looks to be on board to play one of the roles. The social media is buzzing with reports saying Jyothika and Samantha may have been roped in to play the other 2 heroines of the film.
Our sources tell us that Jyothika and Samantha have been approached and the talks are supposedly on but nothing has been put to paper as yet and things could change. Interestingly Vijay has acted two films each with Jyothika, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha in the past and will his 3rd association with all three of them if it materializes.
Vijay - Jyothika (Kushi, Thirumalai)
Vijay - Kajal Aggarwal (Thuppakki, Jilla)
Vijay - Samantha (Kaththi, Theri)
Jyothika as we know has been very selective with her scripts post her comeback after marriage. So it would definitely be a very important role in the film we hope. First, let us wait and see how things go and let’s hope she signs the dotted line.
Since evening, there have been varied talks that stated that Ajith had met Sasikala, the close confidante of late CM Jayalalithaa.
When we contacted sources close to Ajith, they rubbished this as rumor and had a hearty laugh and said, “Like how there are so many hoax messages these days about Ajith’s accident or some actor’s death, this is also absolutely baseless”.
Ajith, as reported earlier, had returned from Bulgaria to celebrate Christmas with his family after a hectic schedule of Thala 57.
