Our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi just made an announcement that all 500 and 1000 rupee notes that are in circulation will become invalid starting from midnight today (8th November). Experts are already expressing their opinions about this exciting move.
 

It must be noted that Shankar and writer Sujatha suggested the concept of abolishing 500 and 1000 rupee notes in a Tamil film Sivaji back in 2007 and now our Prime Minister Modi is implementing the same into practice.
 

We would like to compare this decision with one of the popular scenes in a Tamil film Pichaikaaran recently. In one scene in the film, where a beggar expresses his point of view about how India could improve the economy, the beggar actually says that all 500 and 1000 rupee notes should be made invalid to curb corruption. His words have now been put into practice.

Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film with Karthi, Kaatru Veliyidai is all set for release on March next year! Karthi made the announcement through his official Twitter handle. The film has Aditi Rao Hydari playing the lead opposite Karthi with RJ Balaji playing a supportive role with A.R.Rahman taking care of the music.
 

It must be noted that other films expected for release during the following months of April and May include Baahubali’s sequel and Thala 57. Talk about a hot summer!

Sivakarthikeyan's next film, to be directed by Mohan Raja went on floors today (11th November) with the main cast and crew of the film.


This project marks the second production venture of 24AM Studios, whose first film was Remo. The makers 24AM Studios tweeted, "With all ur blessings and support we start our Production No:2 TODAY.Worldwide Releasing on 25th August 2017,VINAYAKACHATHURTHI RELEASE".


So, it is now official that Sivakarthikeyan - Mohan Raja film will release on the 25th of August next year. In today's Tamil cinema trend, announcing the date of release of a film on the day of its commencement is something new. But this announcement from 24AM studios is very much surprising and has to be appreciated.

Dhanush has been keeping all his fans in excitement ever since he stated that he will be making a mass announcement soon. All of us tried to decode his secret surprise announcement.


And now Dhanush has finally made the all-important announcement through his official Twitter handle that reads as “#D33 bless us @soundaryaarajni @theVcreations @RSeanRoldan @anirudhofficial #bilingual Tamil and Telugu..” accompanied by a video footage.


According to this, Dhanush will be acting in the sequel of Velaiyilla Pattathari. It will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and will be a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.


There are a few things which are a little unclear on this project.


1. Earlier this project was titled as NEEK. One is not sure if it is the same story with a different title or a different project altogether.
 

2. Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films logo is also being displayed after Thanu’s V Creations. So, are there two producers for this project?
 

3. Music composers Anirudh and Sean Roldan are tagged in Dhanush’s tweet. Does this mean that both the composers will be working in this project?

Popular TV actress Sabarna was found dead in her house today, on the 11th November, at Maduravoyal, Chennai. According to reports, her house had been locked for the past three days. Bad odor emanating from inside the house aroused the suspicion of neighbors who reportedly called the police. Police found Sabarna dead inside her house.
 

Reportedly, a suicide note has been found by the police who are yet to give an official report regarding its details.

As per Behindwoods Chennai box office reports, first-day collection of Simbu’s AYM is approximately INR 65,00,000. The data mentioned has been analyzed and estimated by Behindwoods. These figures are not the official ones.
 

The movie has got a very good opening with around 150 shows in its opening day in theatres belonging to the Chennai City Box office. Considering the majorly positive reviews, the number of shows can be expected to rise in the coming days.

Two actors have gone missing in a lake after a stunt sequence for the Kannada film Masti Gudi. As part of the stunt, Duniya Vijay, Anil and Uday jumped into the lake from a helicopter. While Vijay swam back to the shore, the other two couldn’t surface back.
 

A search operation is on to find the duo but the police have said that the chances of recovering them are slim. It is also not known whether all the three actors had safety harnesses. A few channels covering the stunt claim that only Duniya Vijay had proper safety provision.
 

It was said that there were no ambulances or safety speed boats. The location of this incident is Tippagondanahalli Lake on Magadi road, 35 kilometers west of Bengaluru. Reports claim that the actors are dead and the incident has taken place at around 3 pm on Monday, the 7th of November.
 

This seems to be really sad news for the Kannada actors. Some accidents during film shoots in the past include actor Jayan who died on the sets of “Kolilakkam” in 1980 .The injury Amitabh Bachchan faced during the shoot of “Coolie” is another infamous incident.

As we all know, Vijay Sethupathi is doing his next film with the much acclaimed Aaranya Kaandam fame director Thiagarajan Kumararaja. The film also has Samantha, Fahadh Faasil, and Mysskin, playing very important roles, while P.C.Sreeram is doing the cinematography. There are talks that Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director but Anirudh 's name is also being whispered.


The film's shoot flagged off on the 4th of November (Friday) and is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Royapuram. Reportedly, a still from the shooting spot of the film is doing its rounds in the social media. This picture appears like Vijay Sethupathi in a lady getup, wearing a saree. Is Vijay Sethupathi playing a lady getup in the film or is he a transgender? Well, we will have to wait for an official confirmation from the team.


It can be recalled that Sivakarthikeyan was seen in a lady getup in the recently released Remo.
