Vijay60 is the name that is being used to credit Vijay’s next film after Theri. There have been many speculations about the film’s title. It was told that titles like ‘Enga Veetu Pillai’ were considered, but, the makers of the film denied those rumors.

After a 70% completion of shoot, the team has finalized the title of the movie. The makers announced that the title of Vijay 60 will be revealed on the 5th of September, which happens to be Vinayagar Chathurthi, an auspicious day indeed. This film will be directed by none other than Kabali director, Pa.Ranjith, funded by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films. Dhanush officially confirmed this on his twitter handle with a video. The short 20 seconds video had the BGM of Kabali’s NeruppuDa. And with Pa Ranjith directing it, it is very likely to be the sequel of Kabali. Sources say that the shoot for the film is planned to start from December.

After the humongous success of Kabali, Pa.Ranjith - Rajinikanth are combining together again. Other cast and technical crew details will be announced in the coming days.

On the other hand, sources also suggest that Amala Paul may play the lady lead in this flick. Meanwhile, Ranjith’s past three films always had a surprise factor in terms of the heroine. Therefore, would we get to see Amala Paul in this venture too? If yes, what kind of characterization would Ranjith etch for the Deiva Thirumagal girl?

As reported earlier Suriya is likely to team up with Komban director Muthaiah for a rural based action film. Keerthy Suresh has apparently been approached to play the female lead while editor KL Praveen will reportedly be handling the cuts, Imman is rumored to be the music director.

Now the latest we hear is that this project is expected to be about brother-sister sentiment. Our sources say that if it was Thirupaachi for Vijay and Vedalam for Ajith, this would be Suriya’s turn to play the caring and protective brother. Ritika Singh of Irudhi Suttru fame might play Suriya’s sister in the film.

We had told you last night that Nayanthara will be the lady lead in Atharavaa starrer DeMonte Colony Ajay Gnanamuthu directorial.

The production house Cameo Films confirmed the same through their Twitter handle this morning that reads, “#ImaikkaaNodigal will be an emotional thriller starring @Atharvaamurali, #Nayanthara & a plethora of stars! News reg that in a few days”.
 

The interesting part about it is the lovely Tamil title Imaikkaa Nodigal. This is the first time Nayan and Atharvaa would be seen together on screen. As per the technical team, R D Rajasekar will handle cinematography, Bhuvan Srinivasan behind cuts and dialogues by eminent Tamil writer Pattukottai Prabhakar.

24 AM production’s next project to be directed by Mohan Raja featuring Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil will have Sneha on board. Shedding light on this, RD Raja of 24 AM Studios tells behindwoods:
 

“Sneha is essaying an important character in the film. I would like to state that she does not play the role of a sister or anybody’s pair in this. She would be seen throughout the film. It is an extremely good character and would be something like a lifetime role for her.
 

Mohan Raja is very hard working and genuine. He has scripted the story in such a way that all the characters will have equal importance. He will be handling a very crucial social issue, but at the same time, there will be Siva’s humor and other entertaining elements. This film will be an important one in Tamil cinema and will be hugely respected. After the release, respect on Mohan Raja will increase manifold and I am sure he will go to a higher level. For Siva’s career too, this will be a significant one.

I want to give quality content that will be liked by the audience as well. Right now pre-production is going on and we will go on floors after we are done with this”.

Miruthan director Shakti Soundar Rajan’s next with Jayam Ravi has been titled Tik Tik Tik, yes in verbatim of the popular Kamal Haasan film.A first look poster of the film is being shared through Twitter, with the movie’s tagline saying ‘Race against time.’ The film has D.Imman taking care of the music department.

What is interesting is the director who brought the fresh concept of zombies to Kollywood is going to take it to space in his next.
