Here we bring you the best happenings of Kollywood from the just passed week.
It is almost certain now that Vijay would be teaming with AR Murugadoss for his 62nd project. Lyca Productions is expected to fund it while actress Sonakshi Sinha is supposedly in talks to play Vijay’s pair in the film.
We are told that the makers are in talks with ace cinematographer Santhosh Sivan to handle the lens. Likewise, Harris Jayaraj might be roped in to compose the tunes. It must be noted that both these artists were part of the blockbuster film Thuppakki. They are also part of AR Murugadoss’ upcoming Tamil/Telugu bilingual featuring Mahesh Babu. However, we have been informed that since this project is at a nascent stage, there could be a change in the technical department based on the dates. Let’s wait for an official confirmation.

There were many rumors circulating in social media that actor/director R Parthiepan will be donning the antagonist role once again, in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram. This was due to the fact that he was roped in for that role initially when the film kickstarted with actor Suriya, earlier in 2013.
We had contacted the man himself, Parthiepan, to gain some exclusive insights on this news. He said, ''I have not received any complete information on this, but Gautham sir called me and told me that I will be playing a character in the film. I was supposed to play this role when the film started off with Suriya and I was told that it is the exact same character. I have not heard the story completely or anything about my character in detail, but Gautham sir said that I will be portraying that role. It cannot be called as a villain character but it will be a very important role in the film. The news was doing rounds on Facebook and Twitter that I will be acting and Gautham Menon confirmed it himself.''
This is an extremely interesting update from the Dhruva Natchathiram camp! It is going to be exciting to see two really intense performers like Vikram and Parthiepan sharing screen space!
The first look poster of Vivegam, which released a few days ago, made everyone who saw the poster, fall in awe with the physical transformation of Thala Ajith. The whole industry is abuzz about it and we catch up with Rana Daggubati to know what he felt about the poster.
The Ghazi actor said, "Yes, I was extremely excited and called Ajith sir directly. I was shooting somewhere in Mumbai, and I called him. I asked him if it is true what I am looking at now on Twitter, and he said 'YES CHIEF.' And I was extremely happy and proud because I know him very well. I've done a film with him. I have worked out with him in gyms, and with the number of injuries he has, the number of difficulties he's gone through physically, it is very hard to do this. I understand body building very well, I've built solid bodies. It is extremely commendable and inspirational when he has done something like that.
Rana's Ghazi, directed by Sankalp is all set to hit the screens this Friday on the 17th February. To catch the full interview of Rana Daggubati, follow this link:
