The film’s usage of monochromatic colour (yellow and black) to paint silhouettes and the shady characters of the film, including the text on the poster reminds us of the paperback or a comicstrip of the lurid pulp magazines. Is is said that the main inspiration for this design was Frank Miller’s Sin City.
