Released on Jan 12th, 2012. Reportedly, there were issues created due to Vijay's screen name being Panchavan Paarivendhan.

Released on Nov 13th, 2012. Reportedly, it faced issues due to the movie's title initially, and later, a few dialogues from the film were muted owing to protests by Islamic parties.

Released on Jan 10th, 2014. Reportedly, a case was filed against the title of the film before release. However, the issue was sorted out and Jilla released as per schedule.

Released on Oct 22, 2014. Reportedly, there were protests during the audio launch of the film, and a popular theatre in Chennai was stoned a day before its release. Nevertheless, the movie was released as per schedule.

Released on Oct 1st, 2015. Early morning shows of Puli were cancelled, and reportedly, a raid was conducted at Vijay's home on the day of its release.

Released on Apr 14th, 2016. Reportedly, Theri faced distribution issues in the Chengalpet region, and this delayed its release by two weeks in this region.
