Be it the lyrics or the visuals accompanying the song videos released by the Kabali team, the hints about the plot of Kabali are plenty. Here are 9 things the Kabali album reveals about the plot
Both Rajini and Radhika seem to be plantation workers in a palm oil cultivation estate. We learn this from the above images which are a part of the visuals in the song Vaanam Paarthen. Note the palm tree in the background of the tractor driven by Rajini
The theme of Kabali seems to be the pitiful condition of Indian plantation workers in Malaysia. A simple google search reveals that a condition where such workers don’t get fair wage for their work, and are refused basic necessities by the estate owners, still prevails in Malaysia. The words Ulagam Oruvanukka? Uzhaipavan yaar? Vidai Tharuvaan Kabali thaan hints that Rajini as the gangster Kabali, saves his people from distress.
Remember the moment Nayakan Kamal turns gangster after shooting the area cop? Well Kabali seems to turn gangster the same way after shooting someone in hotel. Remember the retro Rajini scene in the teaser? Well it seems like he is coming out of a hotel after shooting someone as per the visuals in the song Veera Thuranthara. Gangster moment in Kabali.
“Desamellam aalugindra, Oru padaiyai naan adainthen” Visuals in both Maya Nadhi and Vaanam Paarthen have montages portraying both the poor and rich state of the couple. Relating with the rest of our assumptions, this seems plausible.
"25 varushuthukku munnadi eppudi ponano Kabali apudiye thirumba vandhutan nu sollu!" Where do you think Rajini has been for those 25 years? Well, we’ll reveal that in the next slide. But what about Rajini and Radhika Apte after those 25 years? It seems like they both incidentally part ways and Rajini goes in search of her. The whole of Vaanam Paarthen talks of that, doesn’t it? Neeyilla naano, Nizhalai thedum nijam, Aaanenadi..(our personal favorite line in the song)
The teaser, if you remember, opens with Rajini walking out of a prison setup. We all know Ulagam Oruvanukka, being the only choreographed song has all the chance of being the opening song. The following lines "Yea ithana naala koottukulla ,Inime vaaran naatukkulla" hints that the story opens with Kabali stepping out of prison. The age is a calculated guess.
We all know that Goa was also one of the locations in the shooting schedule of Kabali. “Naan unai kaanum varayil thaabatha nilaye, desangal thirindhen thaniye thaniye” is Radhika’s words in the song Maya Nadhi. Desangal? Rajini standing, likely on Goan shores, also feature in the song’s visuals. Relating the two pieces of evidence, could it be said that Rajini finds Radhika in India? Possibly Goa?
'Naanga Enga Pirantha, Ada Unakenna Poda Tamizhanukkaga ,Vandhu Ninnavan Tamizhandaa' is a line that features in Ulagam Oruvanukka song. Though the lyricist has agreed the line was written for the superstar, it looks like Kabali is a Malaysian by birth in the story’s sense.
That Nassar has a role to play in Kabali is revealed through a shot in the song video of Veera Thuranthara. Having hinted the theme of the movie, Nassar standing with his hand raised in protest in front of a mike, suggests that he plays the role of either a politician or a human rights activist.
