Veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri passed away today (6th January). The actor was 66 and he allegedly suffered a severe heart attack this morning.
Many top Bollywood celebrities have reached Om Puri’s residence to pay final respect to the star. His body is kept at his residence in Andheri, Mumbai.
Om Puri started his feature film career way back in 1972 through a Marathi film called Ghashiram Kotwal. He then went on to act in many memorable films in his career that spanned over 45 years. It must be noted that he has acted in a Tamil film Mumbai Express starring Kamal Haasan in the lead.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi condoled the passing away of Om Puri and recalled the actor's long career in theatre and films. Behindwoods conveys its grief to the family and friends of Om Puri and prays for his departed soul to rest in peace.
