''THIS IS A HUGE VICTORY FOR US. WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY''

Just a few minutes back, Raghava Lawrence has released a video on his official Facebook page catering to all the protesters at Marina and other places in Tamil Nadu.

He said, "To all the students out there, please listen to this carefully. Our respected Governor has informed all the media that the emergency ordinance promulgated by the state government is a victory. Yes, we have won. I was very upset during the morning, but now I am so happy about our victory.  But no one understands that. They are repeatedly getting involved in protests. There is no need for the protests now.
 

I request people not to sit around on the Marina beach. We have to celebrate this day. For the past six days, we have been protesting at Marina. At the same place today (23rd January), we have to celebrate this success. It would be great if the students do not sit on the road and continue their protest. I will reach the spot in an hour. My heartfelt thanks to our respected CM Panneerselvam sir, PM Modi sir, for respecting our culture and sentiment.

This is a huge victory for us. We have to celebrate this day and let us not start to protest again. I will explain the situation to you all soon. I am coming!"
