Director V.Z.Dhorai, who gave us films like Mugavari, Nepali, Thotti Jaya, is now busy with his next directorial, Amaalee, which has Samuthirakani, debutant Shyam and Kadhal Kan Kattudhe fame Athulya in lead roles.
 

We got in touch with the director to know the update about this film, and this is what he had to say. "50% of the shooting is complete, and the film has come out well so far. Samuthirakani will be portraying four different getups in the film, i.e., a software engineer, a man in a live-in relationship, a TN police officer, and a Hindi CDI (Central Department of Investigation) officer. For the first time, Kani sir will be speaking Hindi dialogues for this character.

There will be two break up songs in the film, one for the boys and one for the girls. We have already shot the boys break up song in a huge set, that cost around 40 lakhs. The set was constructed beautifully by Arusamy. And for the first time in the history of Tamil cinema, there will be a girls break up song with Athulya. Both the songs will have totally contrasting tunes and different perspectives. Apart from Kani sir, another lead Shyam will also have four different getups, while the female leads Athulya and Divya will have two different getups to portray.", he concluded.
