Arya's 'Sarpatta Parambarai' has been welcomed with rousing reviews from critics as well as fans throughout the country ever since its release on popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on July 22. The period sports drama has been directed by Pa Ranjith who also co-produced the film under his banner Neelam Productions, along with Shanmugam Dhakshanaraj of K9 Studios.
The discussions surrounding the movie and the appreciation that it has been garnering, doesn't seem to reduce and are only increasing day by day. More and more stories about the supporting characters played in the film are coming out and fans are demanding a spinoff for many of them including Dancing Rose aka Shabeer Kallarakkal; 'Beedi Thatha', the fisherman who provides training to Kabilan; Vetriselvan played by Kalaiyarasan and more.
The movie gave a glimpse of the boxing scenario in North Madras in the 1970s and the clans of 'Sarpatta' and 'Idiyappa' still exist today. Now, a video of yesteryear Actor-Comedian Nagesh's dialogue about the clash of both Sarpatta and Idiyappa clans has been going viral on social media.
Actor Nagesh has acted in over 1,000 films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist. His lines are still remembered by many and he's considered as one of the greatest comedians in the history of Tamil cinema.
The black and white video in which he's seen talking about the clans has now been shared by many. It shows Nagesh intervening in the fight between two women and saying that the boxing match between Sarpatta Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambarai is going on. He also goes on to fix a price to watch the game.
