WOW! BEAST VS VALIMAI FOR PONGAL? THALA THALAPATHY FANS PREDICT A MAJOR CLASH - SAMBHAVAM LOADING?

While fans were waiting for the teaser to drop this week, Producer Boney Kapoor took fans by surprise and excitement when he announced that 'Valimai' would release for Pongal 2022. Earlier it was speculated that the action-entertainer would clash with Rajinikanth’s 'Annaatthe' which is hitting the screens on November 4, on the occasion of the Deepavali. Silambarasan's 'Maanaadu' too hits theatres on the same day.

While fans erupted in joy with the announcement, a section of them also predicted that Thalapathy Vijay's much-awaited 'Beast' too will hit the big screens on Pongal. Speculations were rife about Thala Thalapathy clash at the box office during Pongal and took to Twitter to share their excitement. A few also noted that Suriya's 40th film 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' directed by Pandiraj might also be released at the same time.

An official announcement regarding 'Beast' and 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan', however, is awaited from the makers. If Thala and Thalapathy film were to clash, it would be the first time in seven years to happen so. In 2014, Ajith's 'Veeram' and Vijay's 'Jilla' clashed at the box office during Deepavali.

'Valimai' which is helmed by H Vinoth stars Thala Ajith in the lead role where he plays an upright cop. The movie stars Huma Qureshi, Pearle Maaney, Yogi Babu and Kartikeya Gummakonda. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja while the camera is cranked by DOP Nirav Shah. 'Beast' starring Vijay is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and bankrolled by Sun Pictures. The movie also features Pooja Hegde, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, and Aparna Das in prominent roles.
