WHY WAS NITHYA MENEN THE CHOSEN ONE FOR VIJAY 61?

We were the first to inform you that Nithya Menen has supposedly replaced Jyothika in Vijay 61. Though we are yet to receive an official confirmation regarding this, the ongoing buzz suggests that Nithya might get the part.

But when Jyothika was initially in talks to play the role, people had thought the character had demanded someone who is in mid-30s. But now that Nithya Menen has been approached, it creates more curiosity on what type of a role would it be. Did her part in 24, where she plays Suriya’s wife and a mother to a kid help her gain this part? She played a matured early to mid-30s girl in the film.

Jyothika herself had told in one of her interviews that Nithya Menen would be the perfect replacement to her if Mozhi had to be made with a different heroine. Did that by any chance influence the makers?
