On December 14, her husband Hemnath Ravi, whom she had married in a civil ceremony about two months prior to her demise, was arrested for abetment to suicide.
Chitra was popular for her role of Mullai in the hit television serial, Pandian Stores and was just 28 at the time of her demise. Apparently today was the day fixed for the wedding of Chithu in the eyes of her family and the adoring public.
