WHY DID ATLEE BREAK HIS PROMISE TO GV PRAKASH?

Director Atlee made his debut through the film Raja Rani, that had Arya, Nayanthara, Jai and Nazriya Nazim in the lead roles. It had music by GV Prakash Kumar. Following Raja Rani, GV Prakash again collaborated with Atlee in Vijay's Theri. 

During the audio launch of Theri, Atlee would have mentioned that he'll work with GV Prakash in all his upcoming projects. But after Theri, Atlee has completed Mersal, which had music by AR Rahman, and Thalapathy 63 will also have the Mozart of Madras as the director. 

When GV Prakash was asked about this in an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, he said: "If 2 artists work together, it doesn't mean they've to work together always. I love working with a lot of debutants. Atlee was a debutant when I worked with him. When Vetri Maaran, Pushkar-Gayathri came to me, they were debutants. 

When debutants come to me there is a new energy. The first time magic... I'm waiting for more debutants to come."
