RHEA CHAKRABORTY ARRESTED; WHAT'S NEXT IN THE LEGAL PROCESS?

Following this, actress Rhea was arrested by NCB in Mumbai. She will be undergoing a medical examination today itself at a government hospital.

"Rhea Chakraborty is totally exposed in the sense that she had connection with drug peddlers. This has been established, that is why she has been arrested" - said Bihar Director General of Police, Gupteshwar Pandey.

From three consecutive days, Rhea has been appearing before the NCB in connection with the ongoing probe into a possible drugs connection in Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

Now that she has been arrested, these are the possible legal steps to be taken.

She will be produced in court shortly via video conferencing.

As per NCB, they won't seek custody of her since they have the evidence and information they need.

The court will decide whether she should be sent to jail.

Rhea will be sent to judicial custody. Her legal team can apply for bail before the sessions court straightaway.
