'Mirchi' Shiva celebrates his birthday today (December 10th) with the trailer release of his upcoming film Sumo. Shiva was last seen paired opposite to Iswarya Menon in CS Anudhan's spoof film Tamizh Padam 2, which had a good run at the box office.
'Sumo' is directed by S.P. Hosimen and bankrolled by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner Vels Film International. The film has Priya Anand as the female lead and has Nivas K. Prasanna composing the music. Major portions of the film were shot in Japan and Chennai.
Sumo is shot by ace lensman and acclaimed National Award-winning filmmaker, Rajiv Menon, and the film is releasing for Pongal 2020 with Rajini's Darbar among other films.
Coming to the trailer of the film, it has what is expected from a Shiva's film, hilarious sequences, along with his subtle yet effective humorous portions. The story seems to be focussed on a lost Sumo wrestler, who is helped by Shiva, in his journey to greatness. Check out the trailer, below:
