Several weeks after revealing that she has stepped down from popular dance show 'BB Jodigal' which airs on Vijay TV, Vanitha Vijayakumar took to her YouTube channel to explain in detail the reasons behind her exit.
Although the promos from the show - where popular Bigg Boss Tamil contestants come together to compete - suggested that they had a verbal argument over Vanitha's performance, fans haven't gotten an opportunity to watch the full episode yet as it is set to air on Sunday (July 25) at 8 pm.
In a YouTube LIVE on her channel, Vanitha was seen taking questions and one prominent question was as to what happened in the particular episode. When asked to brief the audience on the same, she said, "The team explained the format of the show in one way, but what happened there was different. I am already the title winner in 'Cooku with Comali season 1' and I have also been a judge in 'Kalakkapovadhu Yaaru'. How can I come as a contestant here then?"
"I was told that this will be a performance-based show and they urged that I should enter the show as audience will enjoy it. The team forced me to enter the show, but I accepted because of Vijay TV," she added.
Explaining about her walkout from BB Jodigal, she noted that she didn't like the way the judgements were made on the show. "Equal contestants can be compared. When constructive criticisms are given, I will accept it, but what happened there wasn't like that."
Vanitha said that her partner in the show Suresh Chakravarthy suffered pain in his hands, but still managed to pull off the performance because he didn't want to let her down. "The way you pin point a person and make them look bad wasn't nice. We are all actors. She might have done more than 200 films, but we should respect another artist," she said.
