Now, in what can be called as an epic throwback, Rajinikanth at an earlier function of Ashram School, which is run by his wife Latha, had recollected that Vyjayanthimala was offered the role of his tempestuous mother-in-law in Mappillai but she had declined the same saying she can’t scold Rajinikanth on screen despite the producers coming forward with a huge paycheck!
