We've seen television stars venturing into Kollywood in the past, and the list includes names like Santhanam, Sivakarthikeyan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Priya Bhavanishankar, and many others. Now, the latest to join this list is leading VJ Ramya, who has hosted quite a few popular shows on television.
Ramya would be making her Kollywood debut as the lead, with the film Sanga Thalaivan, starring Samuthirakani. The film is produced by Vetri Maaran and directed by Udhayam NH4 fame Manimaran. Ramya took to her social media page to announce this through her tweet, "Extremely excited to collaborate with @VetriMaaran @VelrajR @Manimaran_dir @thondankani on a lead role for #Sangathalaivan . Need Ur wishes n blessings"
Though Ramya has already featured in cameo roles in films like OK Kanmani, and Masss, this would be her first full-fledged role as the lead heroine. Best wishes to Ramya on this new opportunity.

In an exclusive interview with us, VJ Ramya opened up about her career, fitness goals, favourite stars and lot more.
She was all praises for Thalapathy Vijay. "He is very genuine and humble. He was there at the start of my career, in my first ever show on TV. He is so down-to-earth that he acts like I'm a celebrity when we meet. When I leave after meeting him, be it his office or home, he follows me to my car to send me off," she says.
