She got married to her boyfriend Hussain in the year 2017, after a lot of tiff with her parents, because of the difference in religion of the two. However, the actress has been living a happy life with her husband since then, as both of them have been soaring high in their respective careers.

Recently, Manimegalai posted a picture on her Instagram handle on Ramzan, celebrating the festival with her husband. She captioned the picture saying “Eid Mubarak 🕌 @mehussain_7

Munadi lam Na en friends kitta briyani kepen Ramzan ku 🐒 ipo ellarum enkitta briyani kekaranga 🍗 🥘 Oreyyy Nagaichuvaiya iruku po.” (sic) (Earlier, I used to ask Biriyani to everyone, now they’re all asking me. It is very funny)

A follower of Manimegalai commented that “Somehow he has converted you. This is called Love Jihad.” Giving a ‘semma’ reply to this comment, Manimegalai said “Happy Ramzan solradhukku ellam matham maaritu than sollanuma ;) Yaarum inga convert agala. Hussain comes with me to the temple & we also celebrate Ramzan. We both are clear.”
