The recent news of an 8 year old girl who was brutally raped and killed and silenced the entire country. Humanity seems to be at stake and a lot of people have shared their view and opinions on the rising rate of abuse. Following this, Tamil actor Vivekh took to his Twitter and said:

“குழந்தை பலாத்காரம் தொடர்கதையா? பெண்மையைப் போற்றும் இந்தியாவுக்கு அது நன்றன்று.உடனே மரண தண்டனை வழங்கப் பட்டால் தான் குற்றம் புரிவோருக்கு பயம் வரும்.இணையத்தில் சிதறிக்கிடக்கும் ஆபாசங்கள்,அதை எளிதில் பார்க்க உதவும் செல்போன்கள் இவையும் இக்குற்றங்களுக்கு காரணம்.பெற்றோர் கவனிக்க!”.

Roughly translated as, “Will the child abuse keep continuing? In a country like India where we look to celebrate our women, these kind of incidents are very disheartening. The culprits have to be sentenced to death immediately after they are found guilty as this would teach those groups a lesson. Also, a lot of adult videos are easily watchable on the internet and this is why exposure to this has increased. It must be looked into by parents too as children get all kinds of exposure today due to the internet.”
