Ajith’s Vivegam has taken a fantastic start at the box-office as the four days long holiday weekend has helped more public watch it. Ajith who is well known for his big openings has also got a great reception from his fans for Vivegam.  Not only in Tamilnadu, but the film has also opened well in the overseas market.

Reports say Ajith’s Vivegam is his best opening in Australia. It is said that the Opening weekend Box-office collection has grossed up to 185,000 A$ (approximately). The opening collections of other Ajith's film in Australia were Veeram - 61,811A$, Yennai Arindhaal - 153,860A$ and Vedalam - 148,269A$ respectively. Vivegam's opening has thrashed all the older records of Ajith and had taken place as the Highest Opening Collection for any Ajith film.
