VISHAL'S POWERFUL SPEECH IN TAMIL IN KANNADA AUDIO LAUNCH

Vishal participated in the audio launch function of the Kannada film Raghuveera in Bengaluru. He was to release the audio and Kannada actor Shivrajkumar was to receive the same. Unexpectedly, Shivrajkumar could not attend the function and Vishal reached the venue a little late as he was caught in the traffic.

When Vishal finally reached the venue, he apologized for his late arrival and started his speech with உடல் மண்ணுக்கு உயிர் தமிழுக்கு (Udal Mannukku, Uyir Thamizhukku - Body is for the soil, soul is for Thamizh) and continued.

“Although I am here to release a Kannada album, as a Tamilian, I take pride in talking in Tamil. It is our right to ask for water and nobody can deny that. We are all in India and we ask for our rights; nobody can object to that.

There are Tamilians living in Karnataka and it is the responsibility of the Kannadigas to protect and safeguard them. Same way, it is our right to protect and safeguard every Kannadiga in Tamil Nadu. In all, we are all Indians. It is unnecessary to differentiate on the basis of state that we belong.  

If Kannada producers come to Tamil Nadu to make any film, we would extend all the support from our Producer Council. If there is a help sought from Karnataka Producer Council also, we are ready to offer all our help”.

Vishal’s speech had apparently shocked and surprised the people there.
