As per the complaint filed by actor Vishal, the General Secretary of the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA), video piracy inspector Ms. Rajeshwari has headed a search in a pirated VCD shop and seized one lakh pirated CD's along with computers worth 20 lakh rupees.
The seized objects have been produced in the court, as per the orders of the video piracy superintendent of police Ms. Jeyalakshmi. The incident seems to have occurred in a Godown in Balarangapuram located in Madurai. Also, a similar incident is reported to have occurred in Salem, near it's old bus stand, where a person named Ramchand Lal had 20 people preparing pirated DVD's in his Godown. This has also happened in the Kichaapaalayam area of Salem, where SIAA's executives Nandha and Ramana found pirated DVD's and seized.
Anti-piracy actions seem to be increasingly active these. Beware piracy makers!
