TFPC President, Vishal has made an interesting announcement to gift 10,000 rupees as a gift money to all the members of Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council for Diwali.
The general in TFPC is to distribute sweets and crackers to the member and now Vishal has made a striking change.
In the recent Nadigar Sangam's general body meeting, actor Vishal stressed the importance of every actor n technician in the industry should voice out against the Entertainment tax. Vishal said that Tamil Nadu is the only state to pay an additional entertainment tax and such tax will kill Tamil cinema.
Vishal said that the actors across the industry should come forward to sort this issue and requested everyone to voice out against the tax. In his speech, he said Tamil cinema is struggling to survive in between the hurdles of GST, piracy and now Entertainment tax. He finally concluded by saying that only if the government cancels this additional tax, Tamil cinema will be saved.
