Visaaranai directed by Vetri Maaran hit the screens on the 5th of February. The hard hitting film talks about how four innocent young men are taken into custody by the police and are subjected to third degree treatment in the police station for a crime that they have not committed.
One of the actors in the film, Pradeesh Raj had an almost similar incident a couple of days back in Chennai.
Narrating the same Pradeesh tells behindwoods, “On Monday (8th Feb), I was standing in Nandanam near a juice shop waiting for my friends, around 8 in the evening. There were also a few people standing nearby. Police came and took us all on the grounds of suspicion. I did not want to reveal my identity then. I just wanted to be a common man who wanted to know how things are proceeding. I went to the police station and made a few calls. That’s when they realized who I was. For me, it was like coming out of fear. I cooperated with the police fully and I was let out in some time. It was the case of a curious cat that thankfully did not get killed".
It sure must have been an encore for Pradeesh but a milder one at that.
