Chiyaan Vikram’s father Vinod Raj passed away this evening, December 31 in Chennai. He died of old age and was a heart patient. Details about his Cremation will be updated soon.
It must be noted that Vinod Raj has acted in a few Tamil films like Ghilli and Thirupaachi to name a few.
Behindwoods offers its heartfelt condolences to Vikram and prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Chiyaan Vikram's latest release was the Anand Shankar directorial Irumugan, in 2016. After that, he has been constantly working on films like Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram, Vijay Chander's Sketch and Hari's Saamy Square. Apart from this, there have been various rumours about some directors apparently approaching the Saamy star for his next.
Just a few days ago, there were talks that director PS Mithran had approached Vikram with a script, and today there are rumours that director Vishnuvardhan of Billa fame is also in talks with Chiyaan for his next. When we contacted our reliable sources close to Vikram's camp, we hear that this is not true and that he has not committed to any other script yet.
