Renowned to be a man of few words, actor Vijay proved the fact that those few are golden indeed. During the recently held audio launch of Theri, his speech was loaded with praise, metaphors and innuendos.
“Samantha is selfie pulla while Amy Jackson is Kulfi pulla”, he stated. He heaped praise on GV Prakash and stated that he’s not just the hero of the function but a real life hero as well. Vijay referred to GV as the hero of all virgin pasanga while the latter, referred to the album as Thalaivar’s album rather than being his 50th venture.
“Prabhu sir, Thanu sir, Radhika Madam, Motta Rajendhran, Meena’s adorable daughter Nainika who has acted as my daughter in the film, cameraman George.C.Williams, editor Ruben, art director Muthuraj, stunt master Dhilip Subbarayan, dancemasters, assistant directors, camera assistants, lyrics writers, I thank them all”, he stated.
Speaking about director Atlee, Vijay stated, “Theri is the result of Atlee’s Veri. Post making a romantic drama like Raja Rani, he has whipped up an action cop-story with me”.
Vijay apologized for not talking about Theri in detail for he didn't want to blow his own trumpet. He narrated an interesting philosophical story. Finally, he concluded by stating “Bore adicha mannichudunga, moolaila edhavadhu spark adicha yethukonga”, with a smile.
The function was a star-studded one that was attended by the likes of Nasser, Prabhu, Meena, Motta Rajendran, Mahendran, Perarasu, Bharathan and many more.
