There have been quite a few speculations about Mersal's running time, and no one had a clear idea about the exact runtime of the film.
The official censor certificate copy of the film has been released. The film has been certified with a 'U/A' certificate with a runtime of 170.08 minutes (2 hours 50 mins 8 sec). Thenandal Studios took to Twitter to post, "Let's make some blasting noise for the #MersalArasan! #MersalDiwali it is! #Certified #MersalFromTomorrow!"
A thorough 170 minutes of experience it is going to be, witnessing Thalapathy in three different avatars. With A.R.Rahman's score and Atlee's refreshing screenplay, it is going to be an interesting watch for the audience.
We had reported earlier that, the famous Kasi theatre Chennai will not be screening Vijay’s Mersal for this festive occasion due to issues related to agreement of terms. However, it looks like things have been sorted out for Mersal in Kasi theatre.
The bookings for Vijay’s Mersal have been announced to start shortly at Kasi theatre. Their Twitter handle read, “We will be screening @actorvijay @Atlee_dir 's #Mersal from tomo. Bookings update in 1 hour. Use the hashtag #MersalAtKasi to celebrate.”
