DMDK’s official statement said that Captain was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for routine medical treatment and doctors said his condition was stable and he would return home from the hospital in a couple of days. It was also said to not spread vain rumors about his health and not to be afraid.
Vijayakanth was made to undergo a corona test as well, which has come back negative, much to the relief of his fans and family. It has also been revealed that Captain is being treated for kidney-related infections. DMDK which allied with AMMK in the recent state assembly elections drew a blank.
