2020 has indeed proved to be one of the darkest years in recent times - from the Coronavirus outbreak to several acclaimed talents passing away, this year has brought in several shocking and saddening news.
And the recent shocking news that has left everyone heartbroken is the untimely demise of popular South film editor, Kola Bhaskar. Reportedly, the actor passed away this morning around 8:30 in Hyderabad.
Taking to his social media, one of his students who is also an editor confirmed the death news. He tweeted, “MY GURU - EDITOR KOLA BHASKAR TODAY MORNING At 8.30 PASSED AWAY! REST IN PEACE SIR”
For the unversed, Kola Bhaskar was known for his long association with director Selvaraghavan in films like 7G Rainbow Colony, Pudhupettai, Mayakkam Enna, Aayirathil Oruvan, 3 and Irandaam Ulagam. He also worked in Vijay's films Pokkiri and Villu.
Kola Bhaskar had turned producer in 2016 with Gitanjali Selvaraghavan's debut directorial - Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam in which Kola’s son, Balakrishna Kola made his acting debut in the lead role.
