'Saroja Saman Nikalo' is a famous song from the movie 'Chennai 28', in the composition of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Premji Amaran, sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Premji Amaran. The phrase "Saroja Saman Nikalo' at the beginning of the song became an obsession and the song had a very great reach due to that phrase. In fact, the song itself is identified with that one phrase.
A curiosity started building up amidst the audience to know who is that 'Saroja'. Venkat Prabhu has revealed, that the phrase, "Saroja Saman Nikalo" is inspired from one of the scenes in the movie 'Mudhalvan' directed by Shankar.
The movie 'Mudhalvan' was aired on K TV yesterday and Premji has noted that the actual dialogue in the movie is "Sushma Saman Nikalo", not "Saroja Saman Nikalo". When Premji tweeted this fact yesterday, Venkat Prabhu replied saying that he heard it as "Saroja" at that point and time when he was inspired to use it. Check their funny tweets!
