NERUPPU DA LIKE NAANUM ROWDY DHAAN…

Varun who is a part of Jayam Ravi-Arvind Swami-Hansika’s Bogan has also hopped on board Vikram Prabhu’s Neruppu Da produced by Vikram Prabhu’s home banner First Artists and directed by Ashok. Varun tells behindwoods about the film and why he chose it.

“Ashok told me the gist of the story and that in itself was impressive. Later he narrated the story in detail and we were all laughing. His narration was very humorous and I agreed to be in the project.
 

The film is about firemen. Hero Vikram Prabhu is a firefighter and I play the second lead. It is a double hero subject. The story will in fact, hinge on the mistakes that I do and Vikram Prabhu will be supportive of me till the end. I will be there throughout the film barring a few scenes.

There are five of us who are friends from our childhood. Each one of us has a particular character sketch, I will be a little edgy and the other one will be humorous and so forth. Besides the two of us, one is Raj from Nadula Kojam Pakkatha Kaanom and the other two are newcomers.

Nikki Galrani is the heroine supported by Motta Rajendran, Ponvannan, Golisoda Madhusoodhan etc.

The film will have situational comedy. The proceedings will be serious but our reactions will be funny, something like Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.

We are shooting in a housing board colony in Kannagi Nagar in OMR. We have erected a set to simulate this. The entire film is going to be shot in Chennai".
