Meanwhile, in an Exclusive E-interview with Behindwoods, Varalaxmi opened up about her movie offers and revealed some unknown secrets. Speaking about her movies, she said “Had I not done Bala sir’s ‘Tharai Thappatai’, it would have taken a bit longer for the audience to identify me as a performer.”

She also said “Actually, before ‘Podaa Podi’, I got many offers. I was supposed to play the lead in Shankar sir’s ‘Boys’. I even took the screen test and everything was finalised. ‘Kadhal’ was also offered to me. However, Appa strictly said no to these films. I was even supposed to do a film with GVM sir. That too didn’t happen.”
