VANITHA PRESS MEET: "SURYA DEVI IS A KANJA DEALER IN CHENNAI - I HAVE THE VOICE RECORDING!"

Today, Vanitha Vijayakumar had went to follow up on her complaint and spoke with the media regarding the same. She said, "A lady named Suriya Devi, in her YouTube channel has been targetting me through her videos and she has used abusive language against me, in order to tarnish my image and has also been spreading fake information. It has crossed its limit and has been sharing false news. This has angered me greatly and hence I have registered a complaint with the police against Surya Devi and one producer named Ravindran."

She also shared, "He had interfered in my personal issues and even though I spoke to him personally, he did not heed it and went on to speak more aggressively in the media. During this COVID situation, just because they do not have anything to do, people are defaming me and trying to gain popularity for themselves. I had given a complaint and now came to enquire and follow up on the same. But I place a sincere request before everyone - I am a mother of 3 children, I have been a single mother for many years now, I don't have family suppprt, that's why everyone are meddling in my issues."

She also said, "I am in touch with my son's father and my son is fine. Please don't spread news that my son is in depression. I will be 40 this year. After all these years, I felt like having a partner for myself and I tried to be honest and straightforward about it. I didn't do anything wrong. Yes, there are a certain legal issues to be cleared and that will be done. For that, doing character assassination and speaking lowly about me has hurt me a lot and I am seriously depressed about it. Please don't believe such fake news."

When Vanitha's lawyer spoke, he mentioned, "We have all the evidence. In fact, Surya Devi is a Kanja (weed) dealer in Chennai. All these defamation videos of celebrities she does in YouTube is infact a facade for her to run her business. She has issued death threats against Vanitha, and that's why we have come to stress on the need to ensure the complaint gets the attention of the authorities as soon as possible."
